His extensive training, passion for perfection, and innate aesthetic skills are combined with the most advanced surgical techniques, enabling him to provide the finest hair restoration results, with his particular expertise in eyebrow restoration.  In fact, there is probably not a doctor anywhere in the world who has performed more eyebrow transplants over the past 10 years than Dr. Epstein.  Averaging performing 3 to 4 of these procedures every week, Dr. Epstein has developed specific techniques that allow for the most natural appearances, techniques that he has been published on in textbook chapters and scientific articles, as well teaching them at national and international meetings.

He continued his training in head and neck surgery / otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat) at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, and was awarded a fellowship by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.Upon completion of this training in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, for attaining the highest score in the nation on his board exams Dr. Epstein was awarded the Jack Anderson Memorial Award by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

At the most recent meeting of the ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery), Dr. Epstein gave seven presentations. Here he is shown, lecturing on his techniques of eyebrow transplantation, one of the hottest topics at the meeting.

Upon completion of this training in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, for attaining the highest score in the nation on his board exams Dr. Epstein was awarded the Jack Anderson Memorial Award by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Since 1994, Dr. Epstein has been in private practice in Miami and NYC. In addition to his active clinical practice, he has written numerous scientific articles and surgical text chapters, as well as teaching residents and fellows at the University of Miami. Recognized by the lay press as an expert in his field of hair restoration surgery, Dr. Epstein appears regularly in the media. Recognition by his peers culminated in his being elected President of the Florida Society of Facial Plastic Surgery.

DR. EPSTEIN’S PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY

The skills and the means to change an individual’s appearance confers an incredibly important responsibility. Dr. Epstein’s approach is to provide the most natural appearance, assuring eyebrows that are in harmony with the rest of the face and body.

Dr. Epstein also provides pro bono reconstructive surgery to children and other people of need.

Many times the patient is merely concerned about and would benefit most from the improvement of a minor imperfection and it is not necessary to “re-sculpt” the entire area but rather to conservatively but successfully deliver the improvement.

Other times, whether repairing the work done prior or operating on a nose with multiple cosmetic deficiencies, more extensive work is required.

Similarly when performing nasal surgery it is important to maintain or even improve the breathing function of the nose.

He is well suited to do this with his background and training in otolaryngology. For over 15 years this approach has served both he and his patients well.

Every year Dr. Epstein performs hundreds and hundreds of surgeries with particular concentration in rhinoplasty. His patients come from throughout the world, many finding out about Dr. Epstein through internet chat rooms as well as from other doctors.

Dr. Epstein was recently named one of the Best Surgeons in America and is listed in Castle Connolly’s Top Doctor Guide, an impartial resource that catalogs quality doctors in a variety of medical fields. Dr. Epstein was listed in this prestigious publication only after peer nomination and an extensive research and screening process.
